Consultations
Consultations begin every project big or small. Let’s meet for a 90 minute session to discuss what you want your garden to feel like, the aesthetics, and elements like rainwater harvesting, ecosystem support, and food production. Walk away with the keys to successful gardening in Tucson, and an action plan to start the process. Consultations are also great if you just need expert plant guidance.

Edible and Ecological Gardens
Our integrated designs rehabilitate our ecosystems while tending to your own spirit. Grow food among your native plants, build healthy soils, capture rain water. We design a beautiful retreat that supports a healthy planet. Designs can accommodate even the strictest HOA rules.

Meet The Owner
Kathleen Opeka
Twelve years ago Kathleen relocated to Tucson to further her career in wilderness education. Since then she has traveled through many areas of the Sonoran Desert, mostly backpacking but even by kayak in the Sea of Cortez. Through these travels she developed a deep love for this region and its biodiversity. Tucson is home.
While raising her family in Tucson, along with her husband, they began to spend their free time installing and tending to gardens on their own property. They found through this process they found joy, nostalgia, mental health, food, conservation, and more.
